修理と補給を終え、出航したアークエンジェル。オーブ領海を出た所で、アスランらに攻撃される。熾烈を極める戦いは、やがてひとつの悲劇を招く。
The Archangel, without Cagalli and Ledonir on board, leaves Orb territory for Alaska. The Zala Team, who is patiently waiting, engages them in a battle. Kira grounds the Duel, Buster, and Blitz with the help of Mu and Tolle, who is now the second Skygrasper pilot. As Kira and Athrun fight, Nicol intervenes, but he steps into Kira's fatal attack.
Die Archangel verlässt das Orb Gebiet ohne Cagalli und Ledonir an Bord zu haben. Ziel ist Alaska doch das Zala Team greift sie an. Im Kampf hat Kira die Möglichkeit Athrun zu töten … doch Nicol opfert sich für seinen Freund.
A peine l'Archangel a-t-il quitté les eaux territoriales d'Orb pour se rendre en Alaska qu'il se retrouve attaqué par les quatre Gundam de ZAFT. Mais cette fois, Kira et La Fraga sont prêts à les affronter et ils disposent d'un nouvel allié en la personne de Tolle, qui s'est porté volontaire pour piloter le deuxième SkyGrasper.
