The Archangel saves Kira as they enter the Earth's atmosphere. As a result, they land in ZAFT-controlled territory in the Sahara in northern Africa, far from their intended target, Alaska. Flay begins to take care of Kira and comforts him when he is tormented by the memories of the spacecraft that was destroyed in the previous battle.
Die Archangel landet in der Saraha, im Norden Afrikas. Doch die Mannschaft ist nicht in Sicherheit denn sie befindet sich in einem von ZAFT – Gebiet. An Bord hat Kira ganz andere Probleme. Er leidet darunter, dass er das kleine Mädchen nicht retten konnte und bricht zusammen. Doch der Zeitpunkt könnte nicht schlechter sein, denn die Archangel wird entdeckt …
Encore sous le choc de la destruction de la navette, Kira est parvenu à rejoindre l'Archangel, mais celui-ci a dû dévier de sa route pour le récupérer et il se retrouve maintenant en plein désert, au milieu du territoire ennemi. Frappé de fièvre, Kira se remet lentement à l'infirmerie, veillé par Flay.
