未完成のOSで起動したモビルスーツ(MS)・ストライク。操縦を代わったキラは、ザフトのMS・ジンの攻撃をかわしつつ、OSを書き換える神業を披露。
ZAFT is able to steal four of the five G Project prototype mobile suits, leaving only the GAT-X105 Strike. With Murrue Ramius unable to pilot it effectively, Kira pilots the Strike and defends Heliopolis against the invading ZAFT forces to protect his friends. Ensign Natarle Badgiruel takes command of the new mobile assault ship Archangel with the surviving crew members.
Athrun flüchtet mit dem Gundam. Mirrue und Kira setzen nun alles daran die feindlichen Mobile Suist der ZAFT-Truppen unschädlich zu machen. Indessen wird nach Überlebenden an Bord der Archangel gesucht, die von den ZAFTs angeschossen wurde. Die ZAFT und die Truppen der Erdallianz liefern sich eine heisse Schlacht, die dort endet, wo sich Kira und ihre Freunde befinden.
Grâce à ses capacités de Coordinateur, Kira est parvenu à maîtriser le Strike Gundam et à repousser l'attaque du Ginn de ZAFT. Pendant ce temps, le sous-lieutenant Bajirule fait décoller l'Archangel, tandis que le capitaine La Fraga est lui aux prises avec le commandant Le Creuset, qui dirige l'opération de ZAFT...
