On the day of the winter solstice, a queue of customers formed at Muramasa-an, a restaurant run by Takechi Muramasa, one of the Seven Aji Shogun chefs, hoping to get a taste of the delicious and affordable soba noodles. In order to eliminate the stores and shopping districts that are not members of the Aji Shogun group, Takechi first challenges Kin-san of Kin Soba to a taste contest. With the number of customers declining, Yoichi asks Kin-san to help out as he pulls his food stall.
