Yoichi and his friends go to a shrine for their first visit of the year. Learning that Hinode Shokudo also set up a stall at the New Year's festival when his father was alive, Yoichi goes to apply to set up a stall, but it is already booked up. Yoichi protests against Okadaya, an okonomiyaki restaurant that is using its popularity to force its way into the space of two other restaurants. They decide to have an okonomiyaki competition with the right to set up a stall at stake!
