Crockett et Tubbs enquêtent, en secret, dans un hôtel de grand luxe. En effet, il s'y passe des choses pas très honnêtes : des agents de la sécurité sont impliqués dans des affaires de proxénétisme et de viol. Dans cet hôtel, Crockett fait la connaissance d'une jeune "call-girl", Candy James. Elle lui apporte d'importantes révélations sur les agissements de deux détectives véreux, Szarbo et Ling. Ces derniers projettent de dévaliser le coffre-fort de l'hôtel...

Il tenente Castillo scopre che la moglie, creduta morta, è in realtà ancora viva. Chiede quindi a Sonny e Ricardo di aiutarlo a trovare lo spacciatore Lao Li che l'ha rapita.

Menton, śmiertelny wróg Castilla, czerpiący zyski z przemytu opium, prawdopodobnie więzi jego żonę. Dawniej był wtyczka generała Lao Li w amerykańskiej policji. Tubbs i Crockett wpadają na jego ślad w Waszyngtonie.
