Minori Rokujo tells the current Maken-ki members the story of how first Maken-ki was made. The former Maken-ki president Minori, treasurer Tomiko and secretary Aki forcefully recruit Gen to join Maken-ki and become their Makensmith. They witness Akaya fight a jealous Maken user in the schoolyard and try to intervene. However, Akaya knocks him out using his Maken which convinces Minori to try and recruit him to no avail.
それはまだ、秋や豊華、そして実が学生だった頃。エレメントを悪用し、好き放題に暴れる輩に対するため、学内の治安を守る“統制会”が設立される。その初期メンバーとなった実たちは、マケン鍛冶師として高い腕を持つ耕志玄や、いけ好かないイケメンながら素質はピカイチの古大赤耶をスカウトしようとしていた。そんな中、学園の根幹に関わる重要な情報を盗み出そうとする動きがあり……。いま語られる、マケンキ創設の物語。
Minori Rokujo les cuenta a los miembros actuales de Maken-ki la historia de cómo se hizo el primer Maken-ki. El ex presidente de Maken-ki, Minori, la tesorera Tomiko y la secretaria Aki reclutan a la fuerza a Gen para que se una a Maken-ki y se convierta en su Makensmith. Son testigos de cómo Akaya lucha contra un celoso usuario de Maken en el patio de la escuela y tratan de intervenir. Sin embargo, Akaya lo noquea usando su Maken, lo que convence a Minori de intentar reclutarlo en vano.
