T.C., Rick und Magnum helfen Higgins bei den Vorbereitungen zu einem Festspiel der Anglo-Hawaiianischen Historischen Gesellschaft. Dabei lernt Magnum eine junge Frau kennen, von der er sofort fasziniert ist. Doch die wunderschöne Victoria ist leider verheiratet. Kurze Zeit später findet Magnum eine 80 Jahre alte Fotografie, auf der eigenartigerweise seine Victoria abgebildet ist. Laut Higgins soll es sich jedoch um die Prinzessin Kahiwalani handeln, die 1910 bei einem Feuer ums Leben gekommen ist. Die Geschichte erzählt, dass die Prinzessin einen Liebhaber hatte und beide von ihrem eifersüchtigen Ehemann umgebracht worden seien. Am nächsten Tag taucht eine weiteres Bild aus diesem Jahr auf. Darauf zu sehen: Victoria und Magnum!
Thomas is running an errand to a local museum for Higgins' upcoming pageant for the Anglo-Hawaiian Historical Society, when he catches sight of a woman attending a funeral who, he soon learns, resembles a beautiful Hawaiian princess who tragically died in a fire in 1910. Thomas becomes enamoured with the elusive beauty, and experiences visions of himself, in 1900s naval uniform, with the woman. The mystery grows even more when he receives a package in the mail containing such a naval uniform, and a locket holding photographs of what looks like himself and the princess... Is Magnum once again experiencing something ethereal, or is somebody using the story of the princess to their advantage?...
T.C., Rick et Magnum aident Higgins à préparer le prochain grand spectacle historique anglo-hawaiien. A la plus grande joie d'Higgins, William Keyes lui apporte un chèque qui servira à couvrir les frais de l'événement. Alors qu'il se rend sur les lieux du spectacle, Magnum se retrouve inexplicablement aux obsèques de Pali-Uli où il rencontre Victoria, une très belle jeune femme qui l'hypnotise...
Magnum sta portando a termine una commissione al museo per conto di Higgins, che sta organizzando una sfilata per la Società Storica Anglo-Hawaiana. Durante il tragitto, Thomas assiste a un funerale e coglie lo sguardo di una splendida fanciulla, che assomiglia incredibilmente a una principessa Hawaiana morta nel 1910. Magnum rimane affascinato dalla visione e comincia a fantasticare sulla principessa e se stesso in uniforme navale del 1900.
