Po útoku Číňanů je prolomena fronta a tábor se musí přestěhovat dál od místa bojů. V táboře je ale jeden pacient, který není schopen převozu, a tak s ním Hawkeye, Margareta a Radar zůstanou na místě. Nakonec jsou Číňané zahnáni zpět a MASH se vrací na staré místo.

Ein schlimmes Gerücht wird bittere Wahrheit: Chinesische Panzerverbände sind inzwischen ziemlich nahe herangekommen. Das Camp muss unbedingt verlegt werden. Die Zelte sind schon abgebrochen, alle Gerätschaften verstaut. Nur Hawkeye sitzt noch in einem Zelt - bei einem frisch operierten Patienten. Der Mann darf vierundzwanzig Stunden nicht bewegt werden. Und so lange wird sich auch Hawkeye nicht bewegen. Radar und Hot Lips unterstützen die beiden.
Freund auf Rückmarsch:
Die gesamte Belegschaft des Lazaretts ist schon im neuen Camp. Nur Hawkeye, Radar und Hot Lips haben bei ihrem frisch operierten Patienten ausgehalten. Der Mann durfte vierundzwanzig Stunden nicht bewegt werden. Nun machen sie sich ebenfalls auf den Weg ins neue Camp. Unterwegs kommt ihnen Colonel Potter hoch zu Ross entgegen. Die Verlegung ist abgeblasen, weil die heranrückenden Chinesen zurückgeschlagen werden konnten.
A rumour that there's going to be a practive bug-out causes anxiety. When Potter assembles the unit in an attempt to squelch the rumor, the call comes in to bug out, and the rumour suddenly comes to life! Meanwhile, Hawkeye begins surgery on a patient with a spinal injury. The bug-out proceeds without him, Hot Lips and Radar, and they quickly learn after the unit departs that they're in the midst of the front. When Potter, Mulcahy, BJ, Frank and the others arrive at the buildings which had been scouted by helicopter, they find the house full of "business girls," and Potter gives them Klinger's dresses to persuade them to leave the house. A helicopter comes to evacuate the spinal injury patient, and just as the three get ready to go to the new location, they find the 4077 is already returning, and eventually everyone reunites back at the camp, what with the Chinese being repulsed.
По лагерю распространяется слух об отступлении. Полковник Поттер пытается убедить персонал в обратном. С очередной партией раненых поступает солдат, с травмой позвоночника. После операции ему потребуется полная неподвижность. Пирс решается прооперировать сложного пациента.
4077-ой все-таки покидает насиженное место и Пирсу приходится оставаться в опустевшем лагере до тех пор, пока его пациент не будет готов к транспортировке.
Несмотря на испытываемый страх перед наступающим противником, Маргарет и Радар вызываются в добровольные помощники Ястребу.
