Little Audrey bakes a gingerbread man while listening to a radio cooking show. When the dough is in the oven, she falls asleep. The gingerbread man comes to life and takes her to Cakeland, a colorful musical land of candy canes and ice cream cones.
When Audrey is asked to wash the dishes, she invents a machine to do it for her...just as Earth is invaded by flying saucers!
Little Audrey tries to make her dog Pal go home- at least until the dogcatcher gets him.
