Einer der Center-Satelliten hat seinen Orbit verlassen und ist in der Nähe einer Kleinstadt in Tennessee, USA abgestürzt. Da er streng geheimes Material enthält muss er so schnell wie möglich geborgen werden. Michael und Nikita geben sich als Mitglieder des Nationalen Geographischen Instituts aus, um sich auf die Suche nach den Satelliten machen zu können, doch als sie an der Absturzstelle eintreffen, müssen sie feststellen, dass er schon entfernt wurde.
Während sie ihre Ermittlungen fortsetzen, bemerken sie, dass sich die Einwohner der Kleinstadt sehr seltsam verhalten. Eine Recherche bestätigt ihre Vermutung, dass hier etwas Seltsames vorgeht - alle Einwohner der Stadt sind als tot aufgeführt! Doch wenn alle in der Stadt Betrüger sind, auf was sind dann Michael und Nikita zufällig gestoßen?

An important Center satellite named Comstat Alpha crashes near a small town in Kentucky by the name of Dingman's Hollow. Michael and Nikita are then sent on a mission to retrieve it; the first mission with Birkoff's replacement, Corman. The data it carries, before it falls into the wrong hands. When Michael and Nikita get to Dingman's Hollow, they discover that the satellite is missing from its crash location. Soon enough, Nikita discovers that strange things are afoot in the town of Dingman's Hollow. It turns out that the entire town is a "Sleeper Base" for the Black Storm terrorist group, making Michael and Nikita's mission that much more difficult. Meanwhile, Naomi, the girlfriend of Birkoff's brother, Jason Crawford, is taking him to Aruba. Can Section One be far behind?
Un satellite important du Centre appelé Comstat Alpha s'écrase près d'une petite ville du Kentucky, Dingman's Hollow. Michael et Nikita sont envoyés en mission pour le récupérer. Uno de los satélites de Center ha caído en un pequeño pueblo de EEUU. Haciéndose pasar por geólogos, Michael y Nikita son mandados a recuperarlo, pero cuando llegan se dan cuenta que el satélite ha desaparecido.
