Just like 20,000 other Turkish Cypriots, Kemal and his family have been banished from their villages, towns and homes in addition to being persecuted and disappearing in massive numbers as they head on their journey. On one hand Kemal does whatever he can to protect those in his caravan, while on the other he is trying to learn where his wife and elder daughter have been taken. As the reasons as to why Sampson specifically kidnapped his wife and daughter, Makarios is about to throw the final blow. Lefkoşa will fall, all of the Turkish leaders will be taken into custody. From the moment that “Ankaralı” landed on the island, he has started to make his moves to save Lefkoşa and to make the refugees more comfortable.
