The “Badlands” are divided among seven rival barons, who enforce monopolies and rule with an iron fist through their loyal army, the “Clippers.” Sunny (played by Daniel Wu) is one of these Clippers. A master of martial arts and feared by many, he quickly rises to become Baron Quinn’s chief Clipper, most trusted advisor, and regent. Suddenly, a new baron known as the Widow challenges Quinn’s rule, forcing him into war. During an ambush, Sunny rescues a boy named M.K. (played by Aramis Knight), only to discover that the youth harbors a shocking secret. Their destinies become intertwined, and their bond gradually develops into that of master and apprentice as they embark on a perilous journey together.
