Plus, a mom and her teenage son have just remodeled their home and the design team is asked to come up with a plan for turning a large, empty family room into the focal point of the home. The homeowner has a large painting that she wants to hang in the room, and using the colors in that painting as a guide, Jonathan and Brad create a color scheme for the room's furniture, paint and accessories.

Jim and Linda Deal have never been satisfied with the traditional style and layout of their home's adjoining kitchen and living areas, and they're ready for a major change. The areas don't flow together well, and Jim and Linda also want the rooms to have a much more contemporary look and feel.
