Nach einer Vision trifft Hercules in Norwegen auf den Gott Balder. Der glaubt, dass sein Bruder Loki ihn ermorden will. Tatsächlich gelingt es Loki mit einer List, Balder zu töten. Göttervater Odin befürchtet daraufhin den Untergang aller nordischen Götter.
Hercules wanted to save the Norse god Balder, but Balder explained that his death was foretold in the Book of Fates and could not be changed. Sure enough, Hercules was tricked by Loki, the god of mischief, into accidently killing Balder. An enraged Thor tried to kill Hercules with his huge stone hammer, but Hercules beat Thor and took him to Valhalla. There, Odin -- the king of the Norse gods -- explained that two parts of an ancient prophesy had been fulfilled. If the third part took place, the final nightfall and end of all things would occur.

Efectivamente, Hércules fue engañado por Loki, el dios de las travesuras, para matar accidentalmente a Balder. Thor, enfurecido, intentó matar a Hércules con su enorme martillo de piedra, pero Hércules venció a Thor y lo llevó al Valhalla. Allí, Odín -el rey de los dioses nórdicos- le explicó que se habían cumplido dos partes de una antigua profecía. Si se cumplía la tercera parte, se produciría el anochecer final y el fin de todas las cosas.
