Sei Iori aims to participate in the Gunpla Battle Championship World Tournament, but despite his skill at building models, he can't control them in battle. Then Sazaki challenges him to a Gunpla battle in order to get his hands on Sei's high-performance Gunpla. Sei accepts the battle, thinking that if he can't even beat Sazaki, then he'd be defeated instantly if he made it to the championship. But Sei is backed into a corner by Sazaki's overbearing fighting style until the appearance of Reiji, a mysterious boy who he met earlier that day. Even though Reiji has never used Gunpla before, he overwhelms Sazaki's Gunpla with his superb control technique. Sei builds, and Reiji battles. Thus the Gundam Build Fighters are born!
Sei Iori est le fils d'un champion de Gunpla. Comme son père, il monte des maquettes avec talent, mais il n'a malheureusement pas son savoir-faire en matière de combats. Sa rencontre avec Reiji, un garçon dont l'origine est mystérieuse, va tout changer.
ガンプラバトル選手権世界大会出場を目指すイオリ・セイは、高い模型制作技術はあるものの、バトルの操縦はからっきし。そんなセイの作る高性能なガンプラを手に入れようと、サザキがガンプラバトルを挑んできた。サザキに勝てなければ選手権に出てもすぐに負けるだけ……そう思い、セイはバトルを受けたが、サザキの強引な戦い方の前に窮地に追い込まれる。そんなセイの前に現れたのは、昼間出会った謎の少年、レイジであった。
Sei Iori tiene como objetivo participar en el Torneo del Campeonato Mundial de Gunpla batalla, pero a pesar de su habilidad en la construcción de modelos, que no puede controlar en la batalla. Entonces Sazaki lo reta a una batalla Gunpla con el fin de poner sus manos en alto rendimiento de Sei Gunpla. Sei acepta la batalla, pensando que si él no puede incluso superar Sazaki, entonces él será derrotado al instante si él lo hizo al campeonato. Pero Sei está respaldado en una esquina por Sazakioverbearing estilo de lucha hasta la aparición de Reiji, un misterioso chico que conoció ese mismo día. A pesar de que nunca ha utilizado Reiji Gunpla antes, que abruma Gunpla de Sazaki con su magnífica técnica de control. Sei construye, y se enfrenta a Reiji. Así nace Gundam Build Fighters!
