In Miami wehren sich Monique, Elsie und Nick gegen eine 50-Millionen-Dollar-Klage. Derweil erproben sich Craven und Randy heimlich als Mini-HEAT-Team. Sie begutachten einen mutierten Pilz. Bald sitzen sie ohne Proviant in freier Natur fest.
The team is split up due to a lawsuit by the city of Miami (over damages caused by a giant mutant vampire bat). While Nick, Monique, and Elsie deal with the lawsuit, Randy and Craven decide to deal with a mutation (without Nick's permission) in Michigan. The mutation in question is Armillaria, a giant fungus with the ability to suck the amino acids out of any living thing. It swiftly proves too much for the duo, who end up trapped in the wilderness with nothing but their wits and the clothes on their backs. Once the others hear of their antics, the race is on to rescue the duo and defeat Armillaria before it sucks Godzilla dry.
L'équipe du H.E.A.T. se sépare. Une partie part pour la Floride à la recherche d'un étrange parasite mutant et l'autre part pour le Michigan à la recherche d'un champignon géant acide…
El equipo se divide debido a una demanda de la ciudad de Miami (por los daños causados por un murciélago vampiro mutante gigante). Mientras Nick, Monique y Elsie lidian con la demanda, Randy y Craven deciden lidiar con una mutación (sin el permiso de Nick) en Michigan. La mutación en cuestión es Armillaria, un hongo gigante con la capacidad de succionar los aminoácidos de cualquier ser vivo. Rápidamente resulta demasiado para el dúo, que terminan atrapados en el desierto sin nada más que su ingenio y la ropa que llevan puesta. Una vez que los demás se enteran de sus payasadas, comienza la carrera para rescatar al dúo y derrotar a Armillaria antes de que deje seco a Godzilla.
