Xin Niang visits a grateful Bai Ah Li with dumplings and encourages him to work for his parole. She runs into Zhu and follows her into a pineapple plantation owned by Yue Niang. She is chided for being snooty when advising Zhu to change her ways. Zu Ye runs into Xin Niang and Zhu while inspecting the plantation with An Na. Zu Ye is intrigued upon seeing Xin Niang share her mother’s work.
