Ihre Rechnung geht allerdings nicht wie gewünscht auf. Indessen macht sich Lynette Sorgen über den schlechten Umgang von Porter, der ihr jeoch jegliches Gespräch verweigert. Als Parker ihr zeigt, dass sich Porter in einer Web-Community mit Freunden austauscht, meldet sie sich unter einem reizvollen Pseudonym an.
Unaware of Jackson's whereabouts, Susan goes to a local bar suspecting that he might be with Mike however, she soon lands herself in-trouble; meanwhile, after spending money that did not belong to her, Gabrielle attempts to get Carlos to get a job at the local country club as it pays better. Bree promotes her cook book on a radio show.

Grazie a suo figlio Parker, Lynette scopre facilmente qualcosa su Porter, chattando con lui dietro una falsa identità. Lynette scopre che Porter scrive poesie, ma quest'ultimo finisce per innamorarsi della donna con cui chatta. Alla fine, Porter scopre che "SaraJ" altri non è che sua madre; offeso e ferito, il ragazzo si chiude in un muto silenzio e non sembra intenzionato a voler dimenticare l'accaduto.
Bree decide di firmare il libro di ricette con il cognome del suo defunto marito, Van De Kamp, e non quello attuale, ovvero Hodge. Questo suscita una certa gelosia da parte di Orson e teme che la donna non voglia essere collegata direttamente a lui visto il suo passato (soprattutto il fatto che sia stato in carcere per tentato omicidio). In un'intervista radiofonica, Bree non fa alcun accenno al fatto di essere sposata con Orson e che porta il cognome di suo marito, scomparso da anni.
Gabrielle è al settimo cielo quando riceve un invito per l'esclusivo party di compleanno di Michelle Downing. La Downing, tramite Bree (alla quale è stato affidato il catering della serata), decide di ritirare il suo invito ma Gabrielle non si da per vinta e decide di imbucarsi al ricevimento. Poco prima di tornare a casa, Gabrielle si sfoga ancora una volta con suo marito per aver perso tutto anche la loro posizione sociale. Carlos le dice che non hanno assolutamente perso nulla e che non non è mai stato così felice in vita sua.
