Ganta gerät in einen großen Streit mit Shiro, da sie den Datenchip mit allen Infos über das Gefängnis zerstört und damit die Ausbruchträume von Ganta und der Scar Chain vernichtet. Während die Undertaker gegen die Deadman immer weiter vorrücken, wendet sich Ganta von Shiro ab, die deshalb am Boden zerstört ist.
Ganta becomes angry at Shiro for throwing away the data chip, telling her he never wants to see her again. Meanwhile, Mikuni investigates Tamaki's office, overhearing a conversation between him and the Defense secretary concerning the Deadmen. As Karako and the others discuss their next plan, Rokuro appears and reveals the data chip was actually a bomb he had made before announcing that the group is being held hostage unless Nagi agrees to become an Undertaker. As Rokuro decides to execute Ganta first, Crow appears on the scene, managing to fight back against the Undertakers using sonic blasts. As Shiro laments her situation with Ganta, she meets Toto "Mockingbird" Sakigami, the one who told her about the bomb.
Ganta est furieux contre Shiro, car elle a jeté la puce électronique. Mais il réalise vite qu'il ne faut pas toujours se fier aux apparences.

弦角を筆頭とする「墓守（アンダーテイカー）」との激しい戦いで徐々に疲弊していく「自由の鎖（スカーチェイン）」メンバーたち。だが、戦いの最中、「墓守（アンダーテイカー）」たちが撤退してしまう。訝しむガンタたちの前に、突然シロが現れる。だが、シロが取った行動、そして引き起こされた目の前の光景は、「自由の鎖（スカーチェイン）」をさらに絶望の底に突き落とす。失意と怒りのあまり、ガンタは……。
Ganta se enoja con Shiro por tirar el chip de datos, diciéndole que nunca quiere volver a verla. Mientras tanto, Mikuni investiga la oficina de Tamaki y escucha una conversación entre él y el secretario de Defensa sobre los Deadmen.
모두의 희망이었던 칩을 파괴해버린 시로. 그 칩을 지키려고 얼마나 많은 사람이 죽었는데! 시로에게 분노를 터뜨린 간타는 머지않아 칩에 대한 충격적인 사실을 알게 된다.
