Buchner, tenente di vascello e comandante dell'U-949 e Berndt Cremer, secondo ufficiale, sopravvivono e riescono a raggiungere Napoli, dove arriva anche Wilhelm Hoffmann per una missione. Intanto Hannie, sorella di Klaus, incontra Herta al centro di evacuazione.
