Battle Lines

Bobby ist immer noch blind. Er setzt Donna als seine Stellvertreterin ein. Cliff genießt seinen Erfolg. Da wird in seinem Haus der Revolver gefunden, mit dem auf Bobby geschossen wurde. Zu J.R.'s großer Genugtuung wird Cliff verhaftet.

J.R. suspects Cliff Barnes in the shooting of Bobby and he pressures the police to find answers fast. Vaughn Leland tries to patronize Cliff but he threatens to file a complaint against Vaughn about unfair banking. Pam questions Cliff about his marrying Afton. Bobby asks Ray and Donna to check the office phones for bugs. Bobby tells Jenna they can't get married until he regains his sight. Sue Ellen is touched by J.R.'s brotherly loyalty during Bobby's incapacitation. Cliff and Sly have an honest exchange about J.R.'s setup. Bobby fears J.R. will take advantage of his absence at Ewing Oil and he asks Donna to watch over things for him at the office. J.R. asks Sue Ellen whether it was her who tried to kill him. Sue Ellen reveals to J.R. that there was no "affair" with Peter Richards. Pam tells Bobby about Katherine's devious trick in writing the letter which led to their divorce. Donna and J.R. draw their battle lines, as do Pamela and Jenna. Cliff celebrates his offshore strike with Jordan Lee.

Bobby souffre de violents maux de tête. Cliff annonce à Vaughn Leland qu'il va porter plainte contre lui pour pratiques bancaires frauduleuses. Katherine, venue voir Bobby, trouve Lucy à son chevet et préfère se retirer. Cliff apprend à Pam qu'Afton l'a quitté, pour de bon cette fois. Bobby ne veut pas se marier avec Jenna tant qu'il est aveugle. J.R. explique à John Ross, qu'il ne veut rien faire contre son frère tant qu'il est à l'hopital. Sue Ellen qui l'a entendu, en est touchée. Bobby, qui pense que c'est J.R. qui avait piégé son téléphone, demande à Donna de le remplacer aux Pétroles Ewing pour surveiller J.R.. Pam apprend à Bobby que c'est Katherine qui avait écrit la fameuse lettre qui a été la cause de leur divorce. Katherine refuse de revendre à Cliff ses parts de la Société Wentworth Outillage. Cliff, courtisé par tous les pétroliers du Cartel, nargue J.R. en le remerciant d'avoir été son banquier. Sue Ellen est touchée par la détresse de J.R.. Alors que Pam et son frère sortent déjeuner, Cliff est arrêté par la police. Pam aperçoit J.R. qui observe la scène dans une voiture.
