Des is finding that fixing up his boat is a lot harder work than he'd thought it would be. Steph, in retaliation for the boat, books a skiing holiday for one. Liz, while cleaning house, discovers a hidden box with more than £80 in it, and assumes that it is Andy's. Jim counsels her to put it back, and then try to coax Andy into talking about it. After Alec has been trying unsuccessfully all day to reach him, Phil breezes into the Rovers to tell Alec he is going ahead with the club on his own - Bet and Alec are out of the partnership.
