In Connie and Richard’s unsightly suburban home, kids comes first, and style comes last. Dirty and cluttered, the uncomfortable interiors feature mismatched furniture, a gloomy color scheme, grimy windows, and way too much pine paneling. One of the two kids’ rooms even features finger-painted walls that look like a bloodbath. After an ambush in their local park, Colin and Justin promise to transform the couple’s home and their outlook. And in addition to a new charcoal and white ‘urban-lodge’ living room and deck, and tasteful new rooms for the kids, the designers vow to teach their charges about future-proofing furniture, and about family-friendly interiors that are funky and functional. Connie and Richard are thrilled when the walls come down… But will they keep their cool when they see the upstairs color scheme?
