After observing spring flowers in class, Maruko is completely captivated by the beauty of cherry blossoms. Having never been flower-viewing before, she goes with her father to a nearby park to see the blossoms at night. As they admire the trees, they strike up a merry friendship with a group already having a blossom-viewing party, and the two of them end up noisily enjoying themselves.
学校の授業で春の草花の観察をしたまる子は、桜の魅力に圧倒される。花見に行ったことがないまる子は、お父さんと一緒に近くの公園まで夜桜を見に出かけた。夜の桜を堪能していると宴会をやっていたグループと意気投合。気分良く騒ぐ二人であった。
