Vor 300 Jahren hat die gute Hexe Melinda Warren den bösen Hexenmeister Matthew Tate in ein Medallion aus Zinn verbannt, weil er ihre magischen Kräfte an sich bringen wollte. Rex und Hannah vom Auktionshaus Buckland sind ausser sich, als sie das alte Medallion in die Hände bekommen. Sie wollen Tate befreien und mit seiner Hilfe die Halliwell-Schwestern um ihre Fähigkeiten bringen.

A warlock from the past is released from his curse and tries to steal the sisters' powers with the help of Rex and Hannah, but the sisters resurrect their ancestor to combat him. Meanwhile, Piper works up her courage to ask Leo out and Andy gets frustrated by Prue's continued involvement with bizarre police investigations.

Prue, Piper e Phoebe decidono di evocare Melinda dal passato attraverso una formula magica, per riuscire così ad imprigionare di nuovo Matthew nel ciondolo. Melinda mette in guardia le sorelle, rivelando loro che Matthew è in grado di assorbire i loro poteri ogniqualvolta loro li usa contro di lui (e, in effetti, ha già assorbito il potere di Prue). Tuttavia, grazie ad un sortilegio antichissimo, le sorelle e Melinda riescono a sconfiggere Matthew, nonostante questi sia stato aiutato da Rex (che rivela la sua vera natura) che vuole impadronirsi dei poteri della Halliwell. Melinda, dopo aver dato consigli magici alle sue tre postere, abbandona il XXI secolo per tornare nel suo mondo. Nel frattempo, i rapporti fra il tuttofare Leo e Piper si intensificano, mentre quelli fra Prue e Andy si inaspriscono. Quando, infatti, Prue non riesce a spiegare ad Andy il motivo per cui ha rubato dal museo zoologico la piuma di gufo reale necessaria al sortilegio, Andy s'insospettisce e biasima il comportamento sempre criptico di Prue.

En el siglo XVII Melinda Warren, antepasada de las Embrujadas, maldijo a un brujo y lo destinó a pasar la eternidad encerrado dentro de un medallón, por traicionarla y robarle sus poderes. Prue lo libera por accidente, y el brujo, con la ayuda de Rex y Hannah; intenta robar los poderes de las Embrujadas. Las hermanas resucitan a Melinda para combatirlo. Piper invita a salir a Leo.
