悪魔を祓うことが祓魔師の責務だと考える獅郎と、人を助けることが祓魔師の責務であると考え、悪魔とも友好的な関係を築くことを唱えるユリ。ユリの姿勢に獅郎は苛立ち、対立する。時が経ち、祓魔師認定試験に合格した二人。獅郎は念願であったアサイラム外での一人暮らしを始め、自由を謳歌していた。その様子を心配そうに眺めるユリだったが、ある任務で二人は再び対立し……。
