Všichni se zapisují a píšou vstupní test. Andrea chce psát do školních novin a šéfredaktor po ní chce, aby napsala recenzi na Peach Pit. Nat má zrovna špatný den a Andrea nakonec recenzi odmítne odevzdat a nechce v novinách pracovat. Donna a David chtějí pracovat v rádiu. Steve podvádí při vstupním testu a chce se přihlásit do klubu. Brandon se má stát zástupcem Progresivní strany ve školním senátu. Andrea se na koleji seznamuje s Danem Rubinem.
Enttäuscht vom kalten Minnesota will Brenda auch gleich das Studieren aufgeben und kehrt nach Beverly Hills zurück. Dort empfangen sie ihre enttäuschten Eltern und ihr Bruder Brandon, der ihr Zimmer in Besitz genommen hat. Auch Dylan ist von der Uni schon genervt, bevor sie angefangen hat. Die Ex-Freunde fahren gemeinsam zum Fischen um über ihre Zukunft zu reden. Andrea, Donna und David versuchen, inzwischen ihr Schulengagement fortzuführen: Andrea bei der Uni-Zeitung und Donna und David beim Radio.
Jim and Cindy are shocked when Brenda returns from Minnesota. Brandon considers moving out because he can no longer use Brenda's bedroom as a rec room. Brenda announces that she is not interested in returning to college. Dylan grows tired of waiting to register and also chooses to forego college, much to Kelly's chagrin. Brenda and Dylan spend a relaxing day fishing, and elect to enroll in California University after all. Andrea tries out for the college paper and must review the Peach Pit. She catches Nat on a very bad day and writes a scathing review. Andrea decides to pass on the paper and enroll in pre-med courses. Josh Richland, editor of the Condor, asks Brandon to run for Student Senate for the Progressive party. David and Donna interview for the campus radio station, and he is furious when she lets their aircheck tape melt in the car. The station manager enjoys their banter and gives them the overnight show. Brenda a quitté l'université et annonce à Brandon qu'elle et Dylan ne veulent plus y retourner...
È la settimana per l'iscrizione ai corsi universitari e tutti devono prendere decisioni importanti. Dopo il rifiuto di Berkeley, anche Dylan decide di frequentare l'università della California mentre Kelly riesce ad entrare al corso di psicologia. Donna e David riescono ad ottenere un lavoro da DJ al campus ma il turno che gli viene affidato è massacrante: tutte le notti dalle 2 alle 6. Steve e Brandon provano ad entrare nella confraternita Epsilon Gamma mentre il ritorno a Beverly Hills di Brenda sconvolge i piani del fratello. Andrea scopre i vantaggi della sua borsa di studio (computer, stampante laser e una grande stanza nel dormitorio) e incontra Dan Rubin, il suo "consigliere" e insegnante di inglese che ha una stanza poco lontana dalla sua. Steve imbroglia al test di ammissione di matematica e riesce a saltare i corsi di matematica del 1º e del 2º anno. Josh Richland, l'editore del giornale dell'università, consiglia a Brandon di entrare in politica.
Brenda llega de Minnesota en mitad de la noche, lo que asusta a Jim y Cyndi.
