In this episode I start with mapping out the coaster, queue and path's. Also building the coaster on the map.
Start making Entrance building exterior. Next episode will be building 2, the 2nd pre-show building.
Building 2, this is where pre-show 2 happens. I also changed and added some details on the entrance building Next episode will be the coaster station building itself.
Building 3 (station building) exterior. The end result may still be a bit bare en incomplete, that is because the will be an other building next to the station so the exterior detail will be deleted anyway. Next episode will be the first part of the queue path's, scenery and shelters. I also have been working on the custom ride music and sound effects. I'm also going to improve the coaster track to make it more realistic and smooth. Based on new image material I found. But that is for a later episode.
Building queue path's, adding fences, scenery and recreating the 3 queue shelters. A later episode will be finishing this. In the next episode I'm going to build the chimney exit building.
Starting on the chimney exit building. Note: During my recent visit of Efteling I made some interior reference pictures. I will update this interior in a later episode. (With the barrel planter trick) In the next episode some work will be done one the surrounding scenery and landscaping.
Working on the surrounding scenery, landscaping and the dive pit. Next episode will be the first part of the lift tower.
Construction of the pizza shop underneath the lift tower. This shop is called 't Melkhuysje. Next episode the rest of the lift tower will be made.
1st part of the lift shaft tower. Because the limit of small metal objects ingame I was required to use the wooden posts. It still looks good. But metal small metal beam's would have made it even better. Note: As 'dbredenbeek' in the comments pointed out. I made wrong crossbeam's on the front and back sides of the tower. This will be fixed in the future. Next episode I will be finishing the tower including the details and the giant wheels on top.
2nd part of the lift shaft tower will be done. There are a couple of things on the tower that I'm still not happy with. They will be redone later on. Next episode either I will fix the tower or I will be starting on pre-show 3 building. Stay tuned.
Starting on the exterior and interior of 2nd to last building. Pre-show 3 building. This is the building before the coaster enter's the lift hill. The wall on the right side, next to the giants wheels will still be updated in a later episode. Next episode will be some minor detail's fixing the lift tower and some other stuff.
Some more queue work and laying out the start of the queue including the side path. In next episode: not sure yet. Still have to record it. Probably lift tower details.
Coaster track adaptations and smoothing. In the second part of the video I will update the inside of the chimney building. Since my last trip to Efteling I got more reference from the inside ride photo shop. In next episode: First part of the station building's interior.
First part of the station interior. Entering the station after 2nd pre-show is one of the most important parts of the ride. So I tried to recreate this as good as possible. Because of the path limitations in Planet Coaster (minimum 4m wide) I had a struggle doing the exit path. Because of this it won't be the same as the real thing. The exit path is going up out of the building and entering on the catwalk. (please Frontier, give us smaller regular paths.) In next episode: Construction of the 'bagage depot' next to the entrance.
I will be constructing the 'Kompels Bagage Depot'. I added details and props to cover up part of the exit stairs. Use the barrel planter trick to guide the guests around that. Sadly a couple of minutes at the end where lost. You can see the final product in the last showcase shots. In next episode I will be changing some details on the lift tower. I was not yet happy with the corner pieces. So I updated these. Also I added metal plating on all the wooden poles. So the tower has more of a metal texture instead of all the wood.
Final details and changes on the lift shaft tower. Some things where still not okay, and I was not happy with them. The corner joints and the wood pieces. (replaced with metal) I recorded this a while ago but I didn't want to upload 3 video back to back on only the lift tower. So I shifted it back a couple of episodes. In next episode building 5 will be constructed. This is the large building where the trains exit onto the shaft. Interior pieces will be done in a later episode.
Starting in the last big building. Building 5, this is the building where the lift hill ascend starts. In next episode I'm trying the most difficult interior. The second pre-show. Stay tuned.
One of the difficult part of this builds is are the pre-show interiors. In this episode I start with the 2nd pre-show. And I think it turned out rather well. Some small details may still be changed off camera. In next episode building 5 will be finished. The outside scenery of it and the inside bits.
Finishing the inside and outside of building 5. In next episode a large part of the surrounding scenery will be done.
Second part of the outer scenery and some custom supports. After building this, the whole project is starting to look more and more as the actual coaster. The end is nearby. I made the last cinematic shot a bit longer so you all can enjoy it even more! In next episode I will be focusing on the new 'Yoghurt bar' food stand.
The new from this year 'yoghurt bar' is also added in my build. In next episode, the most difficult part of the whole build. Pre-show 1 interior. I may split up the entrance hall and the pre-show part in 2 episodes. Keep watching!
The first part of the entrance building interior. The hall where you wait before entering the first pre-show. Next episode will be pre-show 1 itself. Enjoy!
Second part of pre-show 1 interior. Some small path issues but I'm very happy how this one turned out. Please let me know what you all think. Next episode I will finalise the station interior and the small space in between pre-show 1 and 2.
The end in nearby. In this episode I finalise the station interior. Also the pre-shows and start and finish the exit path. Next episode I probably will finalise the outer scenery.
Building 6 is being constructed. This is the large building on the back where the switch track and maintenance area is. Because the inside is not accessible to guests I cant' make the interior for this. In next episode last scenery parts and the outer bridge will be placed. I got a lot of questions about when this will be ready and uploaded on the workshop. I'm trying to finalise this coaster within this week. But this is not set in stone. Thank you all for watching!
Last scenery parts will be added. Including the outer bridge and some other details. Next episode will probably be the last one. In that last episode I will be adding extra details, lighting on path's and some custom supports on the immelmann inversion. Stay tuned for the next episode.
Here it is, to the final episode in this making of series. In this last episode I'll be doing the final detailing on all different parts. Maybe not the most interesting episode, but these details are very important. I also want to thank everyone who has been watching this series. And also all my subs. Thank you for all the great comments and feedback. I hope you all stick around for new other project I will be making in the future. Keep an eye on my channel for the final showcase video! Coming soon!
Finally after several month’s work. I’m proud to present my newest and best (re)creation. The one and only Baron 1898 located at Efteling in The Netherlands. Personally the most beautiful coaster in the world.
