As Ruby and Bryant continue to flirt, the sexual tension grows between them. Jennifer arrives and quickly lets Ruby know that Bryant is her boyfriend. Bryant confronts Jennifer about telling Barbara he was pressuring her to have sex. Jennifer admits she was scared because she was tempted. He's pleased to hear this, but Jen insists she's still not ready. Bryant vows to be patient with her. Ruby watches this all and intends to see Bryant again. Tom tells Margo that he'd like to get back to the law, where he could make a difference. Katie shows up and Margo assumes she's crawling back to apologize. She questions Tom about immigration and is thrilled when Tom mentions that marriage is a way to keep someone from being deported. Tom warns Katie of the penalties for being involved in a bogus marriage, but Katie blows it off. The passion builds between Lily and Simon and they are on the verge of making love with Simon pulls away. He has to admit to Lily that he slept with someone else. Lily reacts with anger and wants to know who it was. But Lily pulls herself together and says she can get past this. Simon decides Lily doesn't really care about him and they should call it quits. Lily passionately argues against this, but Simon reminds her the point could be moot if he is deported. Lily is determined to find a way to keep Simon in the States. Katie returns and Lily leaves, promising to work on Simon's INS problem. Katie tells Simon that she has the perfect way to keep him from being deported.
