This lecture explores developments in architecture from the beginning of the last century to the present. From Frank Lloyd Wright's originality of vision and insistence on all-encompassing control of the architectural environment, we move to an international array of architectural giants, including Philip Johnson, Mies van der Rohe, Oscar Niemeyer, Eero Saarinen, Moshe Safdie, Jorn Utzon, I. M. Pei, Frank Gehry, Richard Meier, and Zaha Hadid.
