勝男（竹内涼真）のもとを、母・陽子（池津祥子）が訪ねてきた。勝（菅原大吉）との間で何かあって家出してきた様子の陽子を心配はしつつも、勝手にスーツをクリーニングに出したり、古くなった調理器具を勝手に新調したりと、陽子が良かれと思ってする家事に、勝男はいちいちイラついてしまう。そこで、なかなか帰らない陽子に何か対策はないか考えていた勝男は、あることを思いつく…。
一方の鮎美（夏帆）は、渚（サーヤ）から頼まれて、太平（楽駆）のバーが開催するメキシカンフェスで提供するメキシコ料理を作ることに。そんな中、太平のバーでばったり椿（中条あやみ）と出会った鮎美は、椿から勝男が今でも鮎美を思っていることを聞き、「鮎美は思いが戻ったりはしないのか」と聞かれて戸惑ってしまう。
Katsuo’s mother, Yoko, suddenly shows up at his place after apparently leaving home following an argument with his father. Though concerned for her, Katsuo grows increasingly irritated as Yoko oversteps—cleaning his suits without asking and replacing his kitchen tools under the guise of helping. As she shows no signs of leaving, Katsuo begins to consider a way to deal with the situation.
Meanwhile, Ayumi agrees to help Nagisa by preparing Mexican dishes for a festival hosted at Taihei’s bar. While there, she unexpectedly runs into Tsubaki, who reveals that Katsuo still has feelings for her. When asked whether those feelings might be mutual, Ayumi finds herself unsure of her own heart.
