Der Holzfäller Michel hat sich den Fuß verletzt. Niklaas hilft ihm bei der Arbeit. Er verbringt die Nacht in dessen Hütte. Beim Holzsammeln sieht er den riesigen Baum, den Michel fällen wollte. Niklaas beschließt, den Baum selbst umzulegen.
The woodcutter Michel has injured his foot. Nello helps him with the work. He spends the night in his hut. While collecting wood, he sees the huge tree that Michel wanted to cut down. Nello decides to cut down the tree himself.
La primavera ha vuelto, y Jehan se enorgullece cada vez más de su trabajador nieto. Nero se va al bosque con Patrash, donde ven el sombrero de Michel en una roca cerca del río.
