One night, Nickel Kana, of idol group the Batteries, meets Tofu-kozou. Kana is surprised, but he's a weak youkai that can only carry tofu around. When Tofu-kozou asks, Kana tells him exactly why she's working as an idol. "It's not like it's enough if I just carry tofu around like you do," says Kana as she leaves. The next day, Tofu-kozou appears before Kana again. Seeing that carrying tofu is Tofu-kozou's duty, Kana begins to wonder what her own role is. Tofu-kozou says he'll help her look and becomes her manager, but...!

アイドルグループ電池組のニッケルカナは、ある夜に豆腐小僧と出会う。驚くカナだったが、相手は豆腐を運ぶしかできないひ弱な妖怪だった。その豆腐小僧に問われるままに、カナはなぜアイドルをしているかを吐露する。「あなたみたいに豆腐だけ運んでたらいいってわけじゃないから」と言って去っていくカナ。翌日、豆腐小僧が再びカナの前に現われる。豆腐を運ぶことが自分の役割だと言う豆腐小僧を見て、カナは自分の役割とは何かを考え始める。豆腐小僧はそれを一緒に探すため、彼女のマネージャーになるが…！？
