Imao Ai (Nanase Nishino) suddenly disappeared. Innouchi Sho (Nomura Shuhei) frantically searches for a way out, but Ai does not return after a week, and Sho falls ill. Unable to tell Ai that she is a video girl, Sho tells Shibahara Nanami (Iihoyo Marie), Furuya Tomoaki (Shimizu Jinya) and Omiya Rika (Otomo Hanakoi) who have come to visit, and that 'Ii has returned to his uncle.' Rika, who is fond of Sho, gradually shortens the distance by taking care of Sho's poor physical condition and cooking. On the other hand, on the anime contest site, the anime of Sho who entered is uploaded, and the voices of praise from viewers begin to gather. Producer Shimizu Koji (Murakami Atsushi) is watching the trend and makes a certain trick.
天野アイ（西野七瀬）が突然、失踪した。弄内翔（野村周平）は必死に行方を探すが、1週間経ってもアイは帰ってこず、翔は体調を崩してしまう。
アイがビデオガールであることを打ち明けられない翔は、見舞いにやってきた柴原奈々美（飯豊まりえ）、古矢智章（清水尋也）、大宮リカ（大友花恋）にも、「アイは叔父のもとへ帰った」と嘘をつく。
翔に好意を寄せるリカは、体調の悪い翔の身の回りの世話をしたり、料理を作ったりすることで、少しずつ距離を縮めていく。
一方、アニメコンテストのサイトに、エントリーした翔たちのアニメがアップされ、閲覧者から賞賛の声が集まり始める。プロデューサーの清水浩司（村上淳）は、その動向を見守りながらある策略をめぐらせていた――。
