Burt Kennedy

Film and television screenwriter and director Burton Raphael Kennedy was mainly known for directing and writing Westerns. Between 1964-76 he directed 20 films, 17 of them feature films (which take much more time than television movies do), wrote six of them, produced three of them, and wrote three others. Budd Boetticher called him "the best Western writer ever."
