アナウンサー志望の女子大生、聖山環菜が父親を刺殺する事件が発生。環菜のドキュメンタリー本の執筆を依頼された公認心理師の真壁由紀（北川景子）は、面会や手紙のやり取りを重ね、環菜の周囲の人々を取材する。環菜に自身の過去を重ね合わせた由紀はやがて、心の奥底にしまっていた記憶と向き合うことになる。
