Ahoge (アホ毛, アホげ), literally foolish hair, is a visual cue common to Japanese anime and manga. Consisting of a single cute, often long, lock of hair sticking out from the top of the head, it is most often used to identify foolish, bumbling or carefree characters.
Gin Tama (銀魂, lit. "Silver Soul") is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Hideaki Sorachi. It was serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump from December 2003 to September 2018, later in Jump Giga from December 2018 to February 2019, and finished on the Gin Tama app in May and June 2019. Its chapters were collected in 77 tankōbon volumes. Set in Edo, which has been conquered by aliens named Amanto, the plot follows life from the point of view of samurai Gintoki Sakata, who works as a freelancer alongside his friends Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura to pay the monthly rent. Sorachi added the science fiction setting to develop characters to his liking after his editor suggested doing a historical series.
Open Water is a 2003 psychological horror film loosely based on the true story of an American couple, Tom and Eileen Lonergan, who, in 1998, went out with a scuba diving group, Outer Edge Dive Company, on the Great Barrier Reef, and were accidentally left behind as the crew failed to take an accurate headcount. Two in-name only sequels were made; the first In 2006, entitled Adrift; the second in 2017, entitled Cage Dive, which follows the first film's plot of being a survival shark film, again remains unrelated in continuity.
