高校時代、宇海零（加藤シゲアキ）に何もかも負け続けたという苦い過去を抱える山口カズヤ（増田貴久）は、今やIT企業の天才エンジニアとして注目を浴びていた。
新しい部署のリーダーにも抜擢され、思いを寄せる上司の宮本亜里沙（貫地谷しほり）から二人きりで祝ってもらう。
しかし、ある日アメリカからヘッドハンティングされてきた向井シオン（渡辺大）が入社。仲間の能力を認めないカズヤとは対照的に、シオンはリーダー就任をかけた全員参加の社内コンペを企画して職場を活気づける。
負けられないと焦るカズヤは、コンペに向け連日徹夜で頑張るが、次第に行き詰まっていく。「俺は必死でやってきた。アイツに勝つために」
