Kalin ist mit West, Nicko und Sergio weiterhin auf der Flucht und Yusei führt seinen Kampf gegen Lawton fort. Um seine Kinder zu retten, springt Sergio aus dem Wagen und stellt eine Weiche. Kalin gelingt es, mit den Kindern den Verfolgern zu entkommen. Dann mischt er sich in das Duell von Yusei und Lawton ein.
As Kalin escapes with the kids and their father, Sergio, the pursuers start activating the father's shock collar, but Kalin manages to stop it though nearly falls off the kart in the process. Yusei manages to avoid losing to effects, but Lawton instead summons a more powerful monster. Kalin's group are directed towards a deadly gap, so West and Nico's father jumps to change the tracks to safety, and Sergio falls into the abyss in the process (and dies). Yusei manages to summon Drill Warrior from his graveyard, and Kalin knocks into Lawton before he can respond to it. Lawton then throws some dynamite which sends everyone flying, with Yusei and Kalin falling into a canyon. Lawton kidnaps Nico and West, and along with Barbara overthrows Malcolm. As Yusei and Kalin visit the father's (Sergio) grave, his duel disk reacts to Kalin, who decides to fight with Yusei.
Lawton a invoqué "Ogre Canon Géant" et a poussé Yusei dans ses derniers retranchements. Lorsque les points de vie de Yusei atteignent 400, ce dernier mise tout sur sa prochaine pioche. Pendant ce temps Kalin sauve Sergio, West et le père de Nico, et se bat contre les sbires de Lawton afin de s'échapper cependant le père de west et nico se sacrifie pour les sauver pendant ce temps yusei invoque le guerrier foreur mais lawton réplique avec une carte piège et est interrompu par kalin et les 2 enfants qui ont volés le duel runner des sbire puis lorsqu'ils aperçoivent la sortit lawton revient et met sa D-Wheel en mode géant et reprend l'activation de son piège et lance une bombe qui envoi voler tout le monde . kalin , yusei et son runner tombe dans un creux et les deux enfants au bord , inconscient , ce qui fait que lawton les kidnappe , retourne au village la ou lui et toute la ville ainsi que barbara trahissent marco et lui montrent un contrat ou il est écrit que la ville appartient a elle et lawton . Pendant ce temps kalin et yusei se relévent et retourne à l'emplacement des tombes
鉱山へ向かおうとした遊星の前にロットンが立ち塞がりデュエルが始まる。
鬼柳に連れられたウェストとニコは、偶然、父親・セルジオと再会し共に鉱山脱出を試みる。執拗に追いかけてくる監視員によって絶体絶命のピンチに陥るが、お互いの力を合わせて何とか切り抜ける。その中でセルジオの語る言葉に何かを感じる鬼柳。
一方、遊星とロットンのデュエルは一進一退の攻防戦を繰り広げていた！！
