Lindsey is a bright-eyed 20-year-old wanting to exchange her small town life for the fast pace of Hollywood. While having lunch with her friends, Jason and Scott, her new ""friend"" Greg enters her life. During their lunch, Greg really puts off Jason and Scott with his alternative, mystic ways. After a while, Greg gives Lindsey a note to read aloud to Jason and Scott. The note announces that Lindsey will be moving to Hollywood with Greg and belittles her small town friends. Later, Greg and Lindsey arrive at their new Hollywood apartment. The apartment is furnished with brand new purple furniture. Lindsey really likes the apartment but is suddenly stressed when Greg tells her to invite Scott and Jason over to check out her new digs.
