実家を出て東京で働いていた佐伯夏子は、兄が病で倒れたことを知り、兄の夢を引き継ぐことを決意する。それは幻の酒米・龍錦で酒を作ることであった。夏子は兄から預かった種もみを元に、米の栽培から収穫、酒の製造まですべて手探りの状態で挑んでいくが…。尾瀬あきら原作の同名コミックをテレビドラマ化。出演は和久井映見、中井貴一、萩原聖人、下条正巳ほか。ドラマは評判を呼び、原作とともに日本酒ブームの引き金となった。
