Jude Kelly, founder of Women of the World, was in conversation with Julia Gillard, former Prime Minister of Australia, about the impact of Covid-19 on women and girls. They also considered whether women’s leadership is able to bring fresh approaches to the economic and social challenges we face. In addition there were contributions from environmental activist Hindou Ibrahim, on the changes she wants to see both for the world’s indigenous people and for everything on the planet, and from writer and broadcaster Afua Hirsch, who discussed how the power disadvantages of race, class and gender have been ruthlessly exposed during the current emergency.
