However, Tomo does not give up on Anđelka. One night he jumps the fence and enters her house. Anđelka almost knelt before him, but she jerked away and pushed him away. After the party attended by Anđelka and almost all her men, she returns home where she finds Gojko. He tells her that he loves her madly. When she refuses him, Gojko pulls out a gun, shoots Anđelka, and then commits suicide.
Tomo ipak ne odustaje od Anđelke. Jedne noći on preskače ogradu i ulazi u njenu kuću. Anđelka umalo da poklekne pred njim, ali se trgla i odbila ga od sebe. Posle zabave na kojoj su bili i Anđelka i skoro svi njeni muškarci, vraća se kući gde zatiče Gojka. On joj govori da je ludo voli. Pošto ga ona odbija, Gojko vadi pištolj, puca u Anđelku, a zatim izvrši samoubistvo.
