The main character Anđelka leaves her husband Tom and returns to her aunt in Belgrade. On the way, she meets that Nenad, with whom she played as a little girl. Nenad, who grew into a handsome boy and became a successful aviator, falls in love with Anđelka, not even dreaming that she is the girl he used to laugh with as a child.
Glavna junakinja Anđelka napušta supruga Tomu i vraća se kod tetke u Beograd. Na putu sreće onog Nenada, sa kojim se igrala kao devojčica. Nenad, koji je izrastao u lepog momka i postao uspešan avijatičar, zaljubljuje se u Anđelku, ni ne sanjajući da je to ona devojčica sa kojom se smejao još kao dete.
