Victor desires a happy and simple life for his family. A determined and religious provider, he puts up a small bakery in Iba, Zambales with his wife, Marites. Seeing Victor provide the needs and wants of their family, Marites draws strength from his husband. Soon, Victor comes across and helps a homeless old lady, Aling Maring with her drug addict son Benwho seek food and shelter from him. He accepts them like family, but conflict arises in their household when the two suddenly take his entire income and ran away. Feeling betrayed, Victor suffers from depression and later turns his attention to gambling, distressing Marites and their children. The tables completely turn when Victor starts to become inscrutable as he experiences delusions and hallucinations – from being unexpectedly violent to his eldest son Carlo, to digging corpses, and burying saint figurines on spur of moment.
