I played 'League of Angels 3' for an hour, it was trash, here's why.
I played 'League of Angels: Heavens Fury' for an hour. It's like someone just discovered the particle effect tool.
I miss you, random traveler.
I spent 6 hours playing this so you don't have to.
This game is neither good nor bad, fun nor boring, it just, is.
If you like cowboys and good games then you'll probably hate this.
This is the best 'Starship Troopers' game we have.
This might be it, this might take the crown.
This game, might be heresy.
Oh Richard Garriot, what have you become?
You can level up your breathing. Your BREATHING.
Don't get your hopes up, this game isn't actually about toast.
Igrid is love, Igrid is life.
Josh: I think we need a little less of, this. Game: You just gestured to all of me.
я не говорю по русски
Make this game 1000x better, listen to these while playing: Abney Park: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WrPWFn7e2c Jon Magnificent: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-OOD1mvSys
Oh wise careers advisor, what is your career advice?
Safety around horses is not a joke.
Frogzards, Sneevils, undead paladins, this game COULD have been brilliant.
Hardcore open world MMO, doesn't hold your hand, not for casuals! and, as always happens to those games, it died.
Swamp, Gravecrawler, yours. Wizard 101 is a card game, but its actually quite a good card game. Shame about the extreme amount of monetization and premium content it tricks you into trying to access.
I'm sorry 'Bloodlines of Prima'. I was wrong. You are not the Worst MMO Ever. Fiesta Online is. The only way I made it through 8 hours of gameplay was to get drunk, here is my drunken rambling review of this complete pile of garbage. removing XIGNCODE3: https://forums.aiononline.com/topic/5730-how-do-i-completely-remove-xigncode-and-all-its-traces/
From being sold as a physical game in major gaming shops, to a free steam game run by Gamigo, oh how the mighty have fallen. So, is RIFT the Worst MMO Ever?
Personal Opinion, Artix games have some of the funniest writing of any game, the comic timing, references and understanding of comedic conventions is masterful, that being said... the transition to 3d has not been too kind.
It's a massively multiplayer program, it's online, and you can do role play (if you're into that). It's an MMORPG.
This game needed 16GB RAM and 40% of my CPU to run on low graphics. I lasted 3 and a half hours before the strain on my PC, and my mental health, was too much. Combat is dire, quests are nonsensical, optimisation is non-existant. This might just be one of the worst GAMES, never mind MMO specific games, currently on Steam.
I love real time strategy games. But making the buildings take actual, real time, to build... like an entire actual day to build you VERY FIRST building? That's excessive. Cave to Kingdom is a Free crossplatform 'MMO' kingdom building game that works better as a mobile idle game. It is the most impressive, boring game.
When you put more effort into the K-pop dance animation, than the entire English localisation. Astellia Royal is a free to play MMORPG available on steam, you should download it if, for some reason, every other MMO suddenly goes offline.
Work a virtual job, get virtually ill, lose your virtual salary, end up virtually homeless. Avatarika is the most hardcore survival game ever made hidden under an extremely pink UI. It's almost almost entirely Russian so, if you don't speak Russian, you're going to have a hard time.
When this 'game' released, the world got a little bit worse. Due to Youtubes strict advertiser friendly rules, I will make almost nothing on this video, so if you enjoyed it, just leave another playing in the background, cheers.
Warning: Playing too much game may harm your daily life. DK Online, the MMO where water both is and isn't in the game.
Why. Why does this exist? A dark fantasy, furry MMO inspired by fairytales and madness.
Imagine if fallout stopped caring and tried to become an MMO, imagine how awful that would be... no not fallout 76, think worse. Anomaly zone (Szone) is a post apocalyptic MMO set in a world where wild dogs are completely OP.
Mum can we have World of Warcraft! No, we're got world of Warcraft at home. Arcfall is what happens when someone says 'All the players say they want a classic, modern, casual, hardcore, old school, new idea crafting based MMO, I'm going to make that!' And then they discover players who complain there aren't any good mmo's don't actually want a good mmo, they want to complain.
Wanna go in a dungeon date? I'll let you mount the fungus cake. Seriously this game is awful.
An entire emote tab of flirtation and couples interaction, these Eastern MMO's just get creepier and creepier. Suba Games, seriously, why are you doing this? Lucent heart is a generic anime MMO made in the early 2010's and should be avoided at all costs.
Meditation stops you from playing. Certain chat options soft lock the game. The cash shop actively soft locks the entire program. 9Dragons is bad. An eastern, martial arts inspired MMO featuring way too many systems, awful combat and just really, really bad design choices.
Press I to open the cash shop. what a strange choice of keybinds. Aura Kingdom, an anime MMO made by Aeria games and now somehow involved with Gamigo (because of course it's comehow involved with Gamigo) actually, in all honesty, is not that bad. I mean there are issues but, I can see why people would play this.
IN SPACE From the studio that brought you 'Unreal Tournament' comes the greatest sci fi space ninja game ever, Warframe. Is it an MMO? Yes, No, maybe, kinda, sort of, somehow, sometimes, likely, not quite...ish MMO or not, what it truly is, is a bunch of super confusing game systems getting in the way of some of the best gameplay currently around.
A horiffic, hellish, journey of unliving immortal crew trapped aboard an indestructible ship endlessly sailing around an uncaring world... except you can't leave the ship at certain points because, you know, bureaucracy. Uncharted Waters Online is an MMO about pirates and exploration, except they've added in all the boring bits like logistical concerns and paperwork and mutiny happening on your own ship.
You know the worst part about playing a game? playing the game. Thankfully Metin 2 has a handy dandy bot that plays the game for you. You just need to pay to unlock the auto heal function... Also there's a quest you complete by using the cash shop. Oh Gameforge, you and your schenanigans.
Mum can we get Warframe!? No we've got Warframe at home.
I came looking for copper, and I found gold. Guild Wars 2 is a better MMO Guild Wars 1 is a better RPG After 8 hours of playing guild wars, I don't think I'm going to stop, and you may be forced to watch me twitch stream this for a while because its juts a fantastic game.
$90 for 1 dragon mount model, palette swapped 4 times. if there were a competition for 'worst most average mmo', V&H wouldn't win because that would make it too memorable. This was the most 'meh' 8 hours of my life.
Inferna is a perfect example that while a small team CAN make an mmorpg, they probably shouldn't. Join me as I ride sabrespark the lion around mountains and play what is essentially metin 3.
Korean styalized grinfest #4235 Aion is a 2008 MMO from Korean, now published by Gameforge, 'nuff said.
This whole thing felt like an MMO designed by an A.I., like you've told a computer what an MMO is but not why they're fun. Champions of Regnum is a very, very poor MMO.
Playing this game made my life worse.
Nodiatis is a classic, retro fantasy MMORPG played on a tiled overworld and navigated around via screens, the combat is 1st person turn based with a gem system. It's actually really, really deep. If you look at the systems it has, it's actually really good... I like this game. BUT... It's let down heavily by its poor UI choices and excessive use of floating text popups, and its stupidly grindy early game combat.
Khan Online Rebirth Blaze Inferno Classic Absolute Power Remastered Reforged Re-re-rerelease Academy of the old republic World Reborn featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series. Honestly this game has too many names. It's bad. It's a grind focused MMO which is so hard you cannot kill the first enemy unless you cheat. No i'm Not joking.
Anime? check Pay to win? check Excessive amount of systems? check actually quite enjoyable despite this? check Elsword is a 2.5d sidescrolling beat-em-up MMO which is actually extremely fun to play, but incredibly expensive expensive to play at a high level.
Tree of Savior is a gorgeous looking MMORPG, a graphical throwback to the classic JRPG's from the SNES era. It's the spirit of Breath of Fire, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, Legend of Mana, Lufia, Secret of Evermore, it looks, and plays, like a classic RPG. Unfortunately, it's monetized... a lot.
If you claim to love something, you need to be willing to critique it honestly. I love Neverwinter. So I must critique it. Neverwinter Online is an action combat MMO made by Cryptic Studios, it was my main MMO for years, I love the game, but, I cannot recommend it in its current state.
Oh Tera, how the mighty have fallen. Tera, or The Exiled Realm of Arboren, is an eastern MMO with a fantastic combat system and an excessive cosmetic shop. It is the absolute epitome of style over substance, a flashy eye catching action game with no real lore or story or reason to exist beyond 'go kill big stuff'. Killing the big stuff is incredibly fun though.
My best guess is, many years ago, Guild Wars 1 and TERA had a secret child, which they forgot about. Vindictus is a hub-based online action combat RPG with some MMO elements, it's a fantasy Warframe with none of the polish. It's not a bad game, it's just not a fantastic one either, it's a relationship good enough to stay in, but bad enough to never quite be as happy as you know you could be.
1998, the year we got Baldurs Gate, 1, Ocarina of Time and Halflife. Also Underlight. Underlight is an extremely Role-play focused MMO, in fact RP is in the rules. It's less a traditional MMO and more an online space designed to facilitate roleplaying and community interaction, which means now the community has moved away, there's not a great deal left to do.
Careful, they're watching you. Remember just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you're wrong. Conspiracies, Global secrets, lag, it's all here in Secret World Legends, an MMO based on espionage and occult myths.
Soulworker is to MMO's what Gibiate is to anime. Soulworker is a fast, flashy, ultimately shallow experience, looks great but is extremely repetitive. Also contains far too many questionably costumes for the questionably old female characters.
Nostale isn't a bad idea for an MMO, it's just a bad presentation of those ideas. It's built up of all the correct things, simple plot, simple character creator, varied in game classes and builds, varied skills, instanced dungeons, but they've failed to polish any specific element into a genre defining masterpiece. That and the 'time-space' dungeons are all exactly the same.
Digimon, that franchise which never quite took off, has an MMO, and it's awful. Marvel as I endure 6 hours of DMO, enjoy the terrible combat, wonder why Agumon is spanish, cry at how pay to win the cash shop is. Digimon players, I know you're crying out for a good game, but this isn't it.
Part Minecraft, Part Diablo, All Gamigo. Trove is a melted mix of cubist block builder, hack and slash rogue like, social MMO and open world adventure, it takes elements from other better games and ends up being fun, but not as much as each of the individual elements. Trove is a perfect example that adding in 'good ideas' doesn't always work if the 'good ideas' don't relate or work well together.
MMO RPG Rogue-like Bullet hell top down pixel based hack and slash looter. that's a lot of genres all crammed into one game. ##### EDIT: Hi All. After reading the feedback for the 'Worst MMO Ever? - Realm of the Mad God' on YouTube, discord and here, I have re-watched the video and critiqued it as I would any of the games I play. Many people said it seemed low effort compared to my previous work, and pointed out several straight up bits of wrong information, or parts edited with less care than usual, this is correct, I feel this video not only falls below the standards I expect of myself, but doesn't show Realm of the Mad God in a fair light to potential players. If I critique games and expect companies to listen to that critique, I must be willing to listen to critique of my videos. I will play more, update and research more, and release an addendum, calling out my mistakes and giving the game the time it deserves. My focus is the entertainment of the audience combined with the
Many people commented about my original 'Realm of the Mad God' video, saying it felt lower quality than my usual content, I agree, watching it back it was apparently I hadn't taken the time and care I usually do. This is not acceptable, you as viewers deserve the best content I can make. Being a youtuber is a strange job, there's no one sat next to me keeping the standards high, thankfully I do still have a boss, you, and as of this video that means I have roughly 440 thousand bosses. You let me know I can do better.
What happened Everquest? One of the most influential, successful MMO franchises of all time, a graphical upgrade and yet, you didn't hit the big time, what went wrong? Well...World of Warcraft released only 15 days later...
Budget breakdown: graphics: a lot gameplay: some voice acting: none Swords of Legends Online is a major eastern franchise ported to the west by our old friends Gameforge, it is potentially the worst voice acted MMO on the market. From a major hype marketing campaign to less than 1000 daily players on Steam, this game failed, and it failed hard.
Ultra-slow wiki-requiring Medieval Minecraft. 'Nuff said. Wurm Online is one of the earliest Sandbox MMO's, created by Notch, the guy who went on to make Minecraft. it's extremely deep, but incredibly obtuse to actually get into.
Fly, you fools! seriously fly, just take the eagles. Lord of the Rings online is an MMO from 2007 which is still going, and has recently received a huge amount of free content, a graphical rework and a surge of new interest due to the amazon TV show, but, is it still worth playing?
Patrolling the Mojave almost make you...wait wrong game. Fallen Earth Classic, the re-released mmo 'Fallen Earth', known as 'that apocalyptic MMO which wasn't Fallout 76'. Cheap Fallout knockoff? Or, actually decent MMO? Let's find out.
Somehow, Palpatine returned. The old Republic is a Star Wars MMO by Bioware, the studio behind Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic. So we know they can make RPG's, but can they make MMO's? eh, kind of, they've basically put an RPG online, and it's...pretty good.
Not Bless, or Bless mobile, or Bless Online, or Bless Remastered, or the first version of Bless Unleashed, no this is the Unreal Engine 4 version of the Bless Unleashed remake on steam. See, not confusing at all. Join me as I punch a wolf, clip inside a tree then endure 10 hours of Bless, one of the most mediocre MMO's ever made. Also at level 30 there's forced PVP but you can pay real money to not be attacked, so that's nice.
Runescape Classic from Wish. But, does Genfanad have the same classic charm? Join me on a short adventure through the world of Nooblandia (yes you read that right) as we fail to equip bronze and massacre some rabbits.
Thanks to Albion Online themselves for being brave enough to sponsor their own 'Worst MMO Ever' episode without censoring the script, that takes guts. Albion Online is a sandbox mmo advertised by an old man with a croaky voice, it's a game about crafting and then fighting and dying and losing all your crafting tools and feeling silly while you punch a tree with your bare hands. It's a sandbox which historically struggle to gain or keep players, but does Albion buck the trend by having JUST enough framework to guide players like me?
I could not think of a more generic title if you paid me. Hero Plus is one of the games ever. It is the exciting story of a man killing thousands of bandits with a powerful weapon. I am writing this description as the video uploads and despitre having a spent two days playing the game and a third day editing this video, I cannot remember, or do not want to remember, any of the last 3 days.
I love D&D, but even I can see this game has flaws. Email sign up issues, overwhelming build choice, barebones tutorial, audio glitches, server lag, forum links breaking, repetitive warehouse corridors, bloated cash shop... Yet despite all the flaws, DDO is at its very core, a fantastic foundation to build an incredibly enjoyable online adventure on, it's a superbly fun and varied game, just a shame it's coded like a plate of spaghetti.
This game is fine.
Travel the endless desert and find the 8 pages of the book of lore. While fighting boredom and madness in equal parts. Animyst is a mystery, a cursed game, an experience you should not have, and yet, i kept playing.
'more rolling than a dark souls themed limp bizkit concert' - possibly one of my favourite lines. Slay Together is an MMO made by 1 person over about 5 years. is it good? sort of. is it a good start? yes.
Look up in the sky! is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's legally distinct man with super powers! Champions online is a superhero MMO made by Cryptic, our old friends behind Neverwinter and Star Trek Online, and as such it's fun...but my god it's monetised. So join me for 45 minutes of superhero jokes.
Sometimes, the past should stay in the past. I never played this as a kid, so I haven't ruined any old memories, I've just created terrible new ones. Strangely despite being called Sherwood, there are surprisingly few references to Robin Hood.
Downloading.... Downloading... Downloading...... I can't be Foole!
This video would be funnier if MitchManix hadn't stolen all the Bronan jokes 6 months ago.
4 years on, it returns, the league of angels. with more angels, and more copyright infringement, than ever before.
There isn't even a Pomegranate Sword.
Karos is a game where every quest is about killing things and over the course of a few hours you become the defacto god of murder. some of your quests involve solving the mystery of why the local goblin population are so afraid of the humans, you solve this by killing the entire local goblin population. i guess the source of the fear will remain a mystery.
6 months after I got married in Alchemia Story, I got divorced in Toram.
Astonia, either a European country or a sexy vampire.
It's sci fi, anything can happen! what actually happens is 10 hours of beating up homeless people in a subway then tidying up outside the main city.
