Da Max nicht gerade der beste Zauberschüler ist bekommt er eine Nachhilfelehrerin. Sowohl Justin als auch Alex sind auf der Stelle von den netten, hübschen Tutor begeistert und buhlen um ihre Freundschaft. Max lernt tatsächlich gut dazu und es scheint, Tutor wird bald nicht mehr gebraucht. Da Justin und Alex nicht wollen, dass sie geht, sorgen sie dafür, dass Max seine Prüfung nicht besteht. Doch dann stellt sich heraus, dass sie die Nachhilfelehrerin nur deswegen so gern haben weil sie teils Elf ist und die muss man einfach gern haben.

Jerry è fuori città così decide di affidare a Max un tutore per aiutarlo negli incantesimi. In realtà il tutore è una ragazza, che già dal primo momento fa innamorare Justin e diventa amica di Alex. Questo mette l'uno contro l'altro dato che entrambi vogliono stare con lei. Però appena le lezioni con Max saranno finite, la ragazza se ne dovrà andare e per colpa di alcune regole non potrà più vedere i due ragazzi. Così decidono di far andare male l'esame di Max per far rimanere più tempo con loro la ragazza. Alla fine però viene tutto allo scoperto e si scopre che il tutor era un elfo e quindi aveva il potere di avvicinare a se le persone.
Alex y Justin pasan mucho tiempo con la nueva profesora de Max y hacen un plan para conseguirle un trabajo permanente con la familia, pero el plan implica que Max no pase el examen.
Maxovi se kouzlení stále nedaří a tak mu otec zaplatí lektorku kouzlení. Ta však udělá velký dojem na Alex, se kterou tráví většinu svého volného času, ovšem o zájem lektorky usiluje také Justin a tak když zjistí, že se blíží Maxovi zkoušky, po kterých lektorka odcestuje za dalším svým studentem, rozhodnou se Maxe naučit špatná kouzla, aby měli lektorku sami pro sebe.
