Brandon und Stella werden von einem unterirdischen Fluss mitgerissen und landen im Königreich von Tiefland. Dort werden sie von Sponsos und Abrupto, zwei menschenähnlichen Wesen, gefunden. Zu seinem Leidwesen erwählt die Thronfolgerin Brandon und nicht ihn selbst zu ihrem zukünftigen Ehemann, doch der will eigentlich nur wieder an die Oberfläche zurück...
Stella and Brandon fall into an underground river at the bottom of the chasam which sucks them down the current into a whirlpool and onto the shores near an underground kingdom called Downland where they are found by a palace guard and a centry named Sponsus who takes the couple to Amentia the perfectionist and queen of Downland. Amentia sees Brandon and takes him for her husband! A devestated and weakened Stella must soon find the sun to renew her winx or her friends will become monster chow!

Stella i Brandon se razdvoje od grupe te se nađu u podzemnom kraljevstvu. Tamo upoznaju princezu Amentiu koja se zaljubljuje u Brandona te mu naredi da se njome oženi.
Bloom, Aisha e Sky decidono di continuare la missione anche senza Stella e Brandon. Nelle gallerie vengono nuovamente attaccati dai mostri d'ombra e sono costretti a fuggire. Stella e Brandon finiscono su una spiaggia, dove vengono trovati da due abitanti del regno sotterraneo di Downland. Uno di loro, Sponsus, li porta a casa sua per guarire Stella che è allo stremo delle forze. In seguito li presenta alla fanciulla di cui è innamorato, la principessa Amentia. Questa, capricciosa e sgarbata, ignora Sponsus e rivolge le sue attenzioni a Brandon. Stella è costretta a fuggire per tornare in superficie e recuperare le forze, mentre lo Specialista rimane intrappolato e vittima dei vaneggiamenti di Amentia, decisa a sposarlo.
