Willi sucht verschiedene Berufs- und Lebensgruppen auf, z.B. einen Bauernhof, ein Kloster, eine Justizvollzugsanstalt, ein Hotel und erforscht alle Bereiche dort. Er redet mit den Leuten, immer frech, aber nie respektlos, immer neugierig, aber nie unverschämt. „Willi will’s wissen“ ist eine Serie nicht nur für Kinder, sie gefällt, nein begeistert auch Erwachsene (mit und ohne Kinder). Es macht großen Spaß die Filme zu sehen und man lernt auch als Erwachsener immer wieder dazu.
